1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth this was a miracle.) 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
