Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: 'Why do we not see the men that we counted as being among the wicked in here? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
