And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
