Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
