Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 This alone is revealed to me, I am only a clear warner' 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 My curse will remain upon you till the Day of Judgement!" 78 He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised. 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
