Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
