Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 "From which you turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
