Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said, "By Your Honour, I will lead all of them astray, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is nothing but a reminder unto all beings, 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
