۞ But who does greater evil than he who lies against God and cries lies to the very truth, when it comes to him? Is there not in Gehenna a lodging for the unbelievers? 32 He who brings the truth, and he who testifies to it as such -- those are surely the people who are God-fearing: 33 They shall have what they wish from their Lord. This is the recompense for the good, 34 So that Allah will turn off from them (even) the worst in their deeds and give them their reward according to the best of what they have done. 35 Is not Allah Sufficient for His slave? And they threaten you with others beside Him! And whomever Allah sends astray – there is no guide for him. 36 And none can lead him astray who has been guided by God. Is not God all-mighty, the lord of retribution? 37 If you ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will surely answer: “Allah.” Tell them: “What do you think, then, of the deities whom you call upon instead of Allah? If Allah should will that an affliction befall me, will those deities remove the harm inflicted by Him? Or if Allah should will that I receive (His) Mercy, will they be able to withhold His Mercy from me?” Say: “Allah is sufficient for me; those who have to put their trust, let them put their trust in Him. 38 Say, "My people, act as you wish. I shall do as I like and you will soon know 39 who will face the humiliating torment and suffer everlasting retribution". 40 [O Prophet!] We have sent down to you the Book for mankind with the truth. Then whoever adopts the right way, will do so for his own soul, and whoever goes astray, injures his own soul. You are not their custodian. 41
