And he who believed said: O my people! follow me, I will guide you to the right course; 38 O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement. 39 Whoever does evil will be requited with evil; but whoever does good, whether male or female, and is a believer, will enter the Garden; where they will be provided for without measure. 40 ۞ My people, how is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire; 41 you call me to deny Allah and to associate with Him as His partners those regarding whom I have no knowledge (that they are Allah's partners in His Divinity), whereas I call you to the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving? 42 Surely that to which you call me has no say in this world or in the life to come, that our return is to God alone, and that the transgressors shall be the inmates of the Fire. 43 Soon you shall remember what I say to you. I entrust my affairs to Allah. Surely Allah is watchful over His servants.” 44 Allah saved him from the evils that they devised, and an evil punishment encompassed Pharaoh's people. 45 They will be exposed to the fire in the mornings and the evenings and on the Day of Judgment, they will be told, "People of the Pharaoh, suffer the most severe torment." 46 And when they will quarrel amongst themselves in the fire, those who were weak will say to those who sought greatness, “We were your followers, so will you reduce from us some of the punishment of the fire?” 47 But those who had been arrogant will say, "We are all in this together. God has judged between His servants." 48 And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment." 49 But they will say: 'Did your Messengers not come to you with clear signs' 'Yes indeed' they will answer. And they will reply: 'Then you call' But the calling of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
