Have you not seen those who dispute with respect to the communications of Allah: how are they turned away? 69 Those who gave the lie to this Book and all the Books which We had sent with Our Messengers shall soon come to know the Truth 70 When the yokes (shall be) round their necks, and the chains; they shall be dragged along- 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship- 73 “As rivals to Allah?”; they will say, “We have lost them – in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 74 (They will be told): “This is because while you were on earth you took delight in untruth and exulted in it. 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 Then have patience (O Muhammad). Lo! the promise of Allah is true. And whether we let thee see a part of that which We promise them, or (whether) We cause thee to die, still unto Us they will be brought back. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
