Now whatever calamity may befall you [on Judgment Day] will be an outcome of what your own hands have wrought, although He pardons much; 30 You cannot frustrate Him in the earth; you have no protector nor helper against Allah. 31 Among His signs are the ships sailing like mountains on the sea: 32 If He pleases, He causes the wind to become still so that they lie motionless on its back; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one, 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 And those who shun the great sins and indecencies, and whenever they are angry they forgive. 37 and who respond to [the call of] their Sustainer and are constant in prayer; and whose rule [in all matters of common concern] is consultation among themselves; and who spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 38 And those who, when great wrong is done to them, defend themselves, 39 The recompense for an evil is an evil like thereof, but whoever forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah. Verily, He likes not the Zalimun (oppressors, polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.). 40 And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. 41 The way is only open against those who do wrong to the people, and are insolent in the earth wrongfully; there awaits them a painful chastisement. 42 And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination. 43
