۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And say: "Are our aliha (gods) better or is he ['Iesa (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. This is a straight path. 61 And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. 62 And when Eisa came to them with clear signs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to explain to you some of the matters regarding which you dispute; therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 63 Verily Allah! He is my lord and your Lord, so worship Him: this is the straight path. 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
