So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
