And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
