And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 A day when friend can in naught avail friend, nor can they be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
