We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 These people say, 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
