And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 [inflicted on them] by Pharaoh, seeing that he was truly outstanding among those who waste their own selves; 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
