Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 Indeed these people say: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
