And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
