Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Surely the fruit of the Zaqqum tree 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper; it churns in their bellies. 45 like water. 46 "Seize him and drag him into the depths of Hell," (it will be said), 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable: 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, 51 Amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in fine silk and (also) in thick silk, facing each other, 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Therefore wait (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they too are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
