Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way, God will send their works astray. 1 But those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what is sent down to Muhammad -- and it is the truth from their Lord -- He will acquit them of their evil deeds, and dispose their minds aright. 2 That is because those who disbelieved followed falsehood whereas those who believed followed the Truth that came to them from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth to people parables showing their true state. 3 Now when ye meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until when ye have slain them greatly, then make fast the bonds; then, thereafter let them off either freely or by ransom, until the war layeth down the burthens thereof. That ye shall do. And had Allah willed, He would have vindicated Himself against them, but He ordained fighting in order that He may prove you one by the other. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them [in the hereafter as well,] and will set their hearts at rest, 5 and will admit them to Paradise with which He has acquainted them. 6 O believers, if you help God, He will help you, and confirm your feet. 7 As for the unbelievers, they will suffer misfortunes, and their deeds will be rendered ineffective. 8 That is so as they were averse to what has been revealed by God, and their actions will be nullified. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled the earth and seen how those before them met their end? God destroyed them utterly: a similar fate awaits those who deny the truth. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
