Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
