Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
