Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
