Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 [Long] before those [who now deny resurrection] did Noah's people give the lie to this truth, and [so did] the folk of Ar-Rass, and [the tribes of] Thamud 12 and Ad, and Pharaoh, and Lot's brethren, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
