We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom. 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
