In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
