Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the swift scatterers 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
