Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the swift scatterers 1 and the burden-bearers 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
