Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
