Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Most surely you are at variance with each other in what you say, 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 Receiving what is given them by their Lord. They were surely the virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
