Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
