Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. 36 And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" 39 So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. He became an object of much blame. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
