▼ 51 Drivers of the Winds
Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
We built the universe with Our might, giving it its vast expanse. 47 And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Flee therefore unto Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 The wrong-doers shall receive a portion of the chastisements as their fellows (of yore). So let them not rush Me. 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
