They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 And if We so willed, We could indeed take away whatever We have revealed unto thee, and in that [state of need] thou wouldst find none to plead in thy behalf before Us. 86 Except [We have left it with you] as a mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great. 87 Say, "If all human beings and jinn were to come together to bring the equivalent of this Quran, they could not do so, even if they all were to help each other. 88 In this Quran, We have set out all kinds of examples for people, yet most of them persist in denying the truth. 89 They declare, "We will never believe in you until you cause a spring to flow for us from the earth; 90 Or thou have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth therein abundantly; 91 Or you make the heaven fall upon us in fragments as you have claimed or you bring Allah and the angels before [us] 92 or till thou possessest a house of gold ornament, or till thou goest up into heaven; and we will not believe thy going up till thou bringest down on us a book that we may read. Say: 'Glory be to my Lord. Am I aught but a mortal, a Messenger?' 93
