With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 [But] thus it is: never yet came any apostle to those who lived before their time but they said, "A spellbinder, ["sorcerer" is he,] or a madman!" 52 Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. 53 So turn thou from them; thou wilt not be reproached. 54 And remind; the Reminder profits the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! 60
