The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Mount (Sinai), 1 And the Book written 2 In an outstretched fine parchment, 3 And [by] the frequented House 4 by the high ceiling (heaven), 5 Consider the surf-swollen sea! 6 Most surely the punishment of your Lord will come to pass; 7 there is none to avert it. 8 on the Day when the skies are convulsed, 9 The mountains move and fly away, 10 On that Day woe to those who belied 11 those who are in plunging, playing. 12 on the Day when they shall be thrust into the fire with [an irresistible] thrust, [and will be told:] 13 This is the fire which you used to give the lie to. 14 "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Surely the godfearing shall be in gardens and bliss, 17 rejoicing in all their Lord has given them, and their Lord will guard them against the punishment of Hell. 18 They will be told, "Eat and drink to your heart's delight for what you have done". 19 Reclining on ranged couches. And we wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 20 The offspring of the believers will also follow them to Paradise. So shall We join their offspring to them because of their faith. We shall reduce nothing from their deeds. Everyone will be responsible for his own actions. 21 We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire. 22 They shall pass on to one another a cup that will incite neither levity nor sin. 23 ۞ and youths, of their own, shall pass among them as if they were hidden pearls. 24 And they will advance unto each other asking questions. 25 They say, 'We were before among our people, ever going in fear, 26 Then Allah graced us with His favour and saved us from the chastisement of the scorching wind. 27 We used to pray to Him erstwhile; He is the just and merciful. 28
