The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Mount (Sinai), 1 And [by] a Book inscribed 2 on wide-open scrolls. 3 The house ever-peopled, 4 And the roof exalted, 5 And by the Ocean filled with Swell;- 6 the punishment of your Lord shall certainly come to pass, 7 There is none can avert it;- 8 Upon the Day when the heaven spins dizzily 9 The mountains move and fly away, 10 Woe, then, will be on that Day to the beliers 11 and who indulged in false disputes against (God's revelations). 12 That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly. 13 This is the Fire which you used to belie. 14 “So is this magic, or are you unable to see?” 15 Burn in its heat. It is all the same for you whether you exercise patience or not; This is the recompense for your deeds". 16 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and Delight. 17 Happy because of what their Lord hath given them, and (because) their Lord hath warded off from them the torment of hell-fire. 18 (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do, 19 reclining on couches arranged in rows. And We shall wed them to fair maidens with large beautiful eyes. 20 And those who believed, and whose progeny also followed them in their faith, will be united with their offspring. We will not deprive them of their labour in the least. Every man is bound to what he does. 21 And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire. 22 In it, they accept cups from each other, in which is neither any lewdness nor any sin. 23 ۞ And there will go round boy-servants of theirs, to serve them as if they were preserved pearls. 24 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 25 Saying: "Aforetime, we were afraid with our families (from the punishment of Allah). 26 "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind. 27 Verily we were wont to pray unto Him aforetime; verily He! it is He, the Benign, the Merciful. 28
