Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
