Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
