So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 He plunged the villages 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
