Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
