Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
