(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
