The people of Thamud rejected Our warnings. 23 And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. 24 Hath the admonition been laid upon him from amongst us! Aye! he is a liar insolent. 25 'They shall surely know tomorrow who is the impudent liar. 26 Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! 27 And inform them that the water is shared between them; every share of the water shall be regulated. 28 But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her). 29 And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. 30 We sent upon them a single blast of sound and they were left like hay to be used by the cattle. 31 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 32 The people of Lot denied the warning. 33 We sent a sandstorm against them which destroyed them all, except the family of Lot, whom We saved at the break of dawn, 34 as a favour from Us. Thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings. 36 And they tried to persuade him regarding his guests – We therefore blinded their eyes, “So taste My punishment, and My warnings.” 37 And indeed, the everlasting punishment overcame them early in the morning. 38 "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran.
