The Thamud (also) rejected (their) Warners. 23 For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! 24 Has the Reminder been cast upon him alone among us? Nay, rather he is an impudent liar.' 25 [We said to him] "Tomorrow they shall know who is the boastful liar, 26 Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; 27 Tell them that each one of them has the right to have a certain share of water". 28 But they called their companion who took hold of her and hamstrung her. 29 How then were My chastisement and My warnings? 30 Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects. 31 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 32 The folk of Lot rejected warnings. 33 We sent a sandstorm against them which destroyed them all, except the family of Lot, whom We saved at the break of dawn, 34 as a favour from Us. Thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. 36 They lusted after his guests, so We put out their eyes (and said): "Taste My punishment and My commination." 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 “So taste My punishment, and My warnings!” 39 Hence, indeed, We made this Qur'an easy to bear in mind: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
