Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
