And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We destroyed many people like you (disbelievers) but is there anyone who would take heed (of Our warning)? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
