To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 Whatever they have done has been recorded in the Books (records of the deeds). 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
